Michael Phelps Donruss Autographed Trading Cards

As a result of Phelp's record breaking Olympics, interest in some of his other collectibles have taken off as well.

For example, a limited set of 300 autographed Phelps trading cards produced by Donruss in 2004, are now soaring in value. Watchers say that the card, which could be bought for as little as $25 a few weeks ago, are now trading for over $500.

In fact, on our eBay watch as of this post, one "Fan of the Game" card had passed $800.

Michael Phelps Makes Olympic History

It's official - Michael Phelps has become the winningest Olympic athlete ever as he picked up his eighth gold medal Sunday morning in Beijing, as the Americans took the 400-meter medley relay against an Australian team that did its best to spoil history.

Enroute to history, Phelps set seven world records and one Olympic record in five individual races and three relays, doing a personal best time in every event.

Phelps is quoted as saying "Nothing is impossible. With so many people saying it couldn't be done, all it takes is an imagination, and that's something I learned and something that helped me."

We salute Michael Phelp's and his incredible achievement.

Michael Phelps 7th Gold Medal

Michael Phelps kept his streak alive last night, as he won his seventh gold medal of the Beijing Olympics and tied Mark Spitz's record in what turned into a thriller in the 100-meter butterfly event.

In a win that sparked a protest, but was upheld after a video review, Phelps edged Serbia's Milorad Cavic by one-hundredth of a second which even he said was "almost too close to see."

After 17 races in nine days, he will end his quest for eight Olympic gold medals tonight in the 4x100-meter medley relay.

Stay tuned...
