Million-dollar-ebay-auctions.com had the following press release out back on August 25th, 2006. They had a starting bid of US $100,000.00, but the auction failed to attract any bidders:

The very first transmission, an approximate six-inch-by-two-inch section of tape, signified the end of the European War which Germany had started.
