Once in a Lifetime

There’s a sub-title to this one as well: Once in a Lifetime: The Extraordinary Story of the New York Cosmos.

The film follows the rise and fall of the new York Cosmos in the late 1970′s, when New York was suffering through riots, blackouts and serial killers, and needed a diversionary boost which was provided by a rag tag group of players along with a soccer superstar, and the entertainment moguls who powered it.

From Miramax Films, opening July 7, 2006 in New York with a wider release on July 14.

Ant Bully

Looks like some great voice talent in this new animated flick from Warner Bros. Pictures featuring the talents of Academy Award nominated filmmaker John A. Davis (“Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius“) and producers Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman (“The Polar Express“).

It opens on July 28, 2006 and is about a bullied 10-year-old boy who’s the new kid in town, and takes his frustations out on an anthill, until he’s shrunk down to ant size and forced to live in the colony where he learns some important lessons about friendship and having the courage to stand up for himself.
