Awright, all you Miller fan boys – some preliminary posters are available for Frank Miller’s latest big screen incarnation of one of his graphic novels. …and we know there’s some rabid Gerard Butler fans out there as well, but it looks like we might have to wait for the advance posters.
The film brings Miller’s (Sin City) acclaimed graphic novel to life by combining live action with virtual backgrounds that capture his distinct vision of this ancient historic tale of the Battle of Thermopylae in which King Leonidas (Gerard Butler) and 300 Spartans fought to the death against Xerxes and his massive Persian army.
It looks like there was also a 1962 version (pictured at left) called “The 300 Spartans” from 20th Century Fox and starring Richard Egan, Sir Ralph Richardson, Diane Baker, Barry Coe and David Farrar.

UPDATE: We get visitors looking for a 300 movie font. It looks like it was probably a handcrafted piece. One font that emulates the “splatter” look is called Steadmanesque that is based on famed illustrator Ralph Steadman’s style – a free version is available here on abstractfonts.com.
