In the Best Picture category for the 79th Academy Awards are:

- Little Miss Sunshine
- The Queen
Surprisingly, Dreamgirls, which managed to get the most nominations with eight, didn’t get a nod in this category. Babel, which won the Golden Globe earlier this month had seven nominations.
