Hilary Swank stars in this supernatural thriller opening next week on April 5, 2007 from Warner Bros. Pictures. Swank plays a former Christian missionary who has lost her faith after her family was killed in a tragic accident, and has since become a world renowned expert in disproving religious phenomena. But when she investigates a small Louisiana town that is suffering from what appear to be the Biblical plagues, she realizes that science cannot explain what is happening and she must regain her faith to combat the dark forces threatening the community.
Stephen Hopkins also directed “The Life and Death of Peter Sellers” (2004), “Lost in Space” (1998), “The Ghost and the Darkness” (1996) and “Chaplin” (1992).
