“There’s no need to fear! Underdog is here!” If you’re old enough to remember, Underdog was the rhyming canine superhero from the cartoon series which ran from 1964-1973.

This new reincarnation is a live action version (with CGI effects) from Walt Disney Pictures which opens August 3, 2007. Underdog (Jason Lee) vows to protect the beleaguered citizens of Capitol City and, in particular, one beautiful spaniel named Polly Purebread (Amy Adams).

The original Underdog was voiced by Wally Cox.
