The summer movie season officially begins tonight as Iron Man launches what should probably be a major uptick in box office revenues, after what amounted to a slow start to 2008.
“Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), is a billionaire industrialist and genius inventor who is kidnapped and forced to build a devastating weapon. He instead uses his intelligence and ingenuity to build a high-tech suit of armor which he uses to escape captivity. Upon his return to America, Stark uncovers a devious plot with global implications, forcing him to vow to protect the world as Iron Man.
