Antique Pine Candle Box sells for $744,000

A painted, decorated and incised pine candle box which dates to the 1840’s realized $744,825 at an auction held by Freeman’s 200 in Philadelphia. This completely blew pre-sale expectations of $8-12,000 out of the water.”
