“HONG KONG (AFP) – A tiny bowl believed to be around 270 years old smashed the record for a piece of Chinese ceramic art at auction when it was sold for 151.3 million dollars (19.3 million US).
The delicate famille rose bowl, with a swallows design, fetched double its expected sale price of 70-80 million dollars. Famille rose refers to the kind of glaze used to coat the bowl.”
