We were just watching the final stages of this eBay auction today for a Hot Wheels 1968 orange Hong Kong custom Ford Mustang on a sealed card with a painted silver base.

The seller description:

“The model is still factory sealed on its original card, the card is the very unusual UK budget card, it doesn’t have the waxy finish like most others, it has a matte finish and the artwork colours are lighter, the back of the card is the same as standard (not cheetah).”

There were 16 bids and it closed out at US $1,424.00.

Not bad…
