Collectibles: Johnny Lightning models really ‘sizzle’

“Good things do indeed come in small packages for money-short, space-starved model car collectors. Some of the best around are the tiny 1/64th scale models that come from Johnny Lightning, a division of RC2 of Oak Brook, Ill.
They come in an almost bewildering variety, and their big selling point, particularly with adult collectors, is that they are highly accurate models that are built in authentic factory colors and equipment.
…Johnny Lightning models seldom sell for more than $3 each at most stores, but I suspect that years from now, that $3 may seem like a distant memory because of their collectible qualities.”
