“With a $404 million US box-office take in North America alone, Spider-Man is the all-time comic book hero box-office champ.
Columbia Pictures broke its own record with Wednesday’s release of Spider-Man 2, with a one-day take of $40.5 million. And analysts are confident it’ll succeed in breaking its own three-day record take of $114.8 million.”
Update 21 years later (2025): Spider-Man 2 (2004) earned a final worldwide box office of approximately $783.5 to $783.7 million, with roughly $373.5 million domestic and over $409 million international.
