Christie’s Sets Sail With Rare Auction of Ocean-Liner Items

June 21 (Bloomberg)

“After a nine-year absence, ocean- liner travel has regained a berth at Christie’s International in New York.

For the first time since 1996, Christie’s will hold a large auction of ocean-liner items such as Art Deco glass panels from the Normandie, a Lucite table from the Queen Elizabeth 2 and a postcard mailed from the Lusitania in 1915 shortly before it was sunk by a German torpedo.”
