Michelangelo letter among rare documents up for auction in New York

“NEW YORK (AFP) – Letters chronicling Michelangelo’s payments to his assistants and Catherine of Aragon’s attempts to avoid divorce are among several rare documents due to go under the hammer in New York in December.
The 31 lots belong to an anonymous private US collector who amassed the letters over several decades and are described by Sotheby’s as outstanding for their historical value.”
