Heritage Coin Auction Exceeds $22 Million

Auctions/Prices, Scoop, Friday, September 30, 2005

“Working closely with the Long Beach Coin Expo, Heritage Numismatics held three auctions over the course of the convention. Held in Long Beach, California on September 21-24, the auctions closed with over $22 million in total sales. The success of the auctions points to the health of the coin collecting hobby and collecting in general.”

Some of the highlights:

– An 1820 25C PR67 (Quarter) that brought $218,500.00
– An 1870 CC $20 XF40 sold for $184,000.00
– An 1861-S $20 Paquet Double Eagle sold for $77,625.00
