“Remember all those wonderful tin windup cars and trucks you used to get for Christmas?
Chances are they were manufactured by Schuco, arguably the world’s oldest toy car company, dating to 1912 when it was known as Schreyer & Co. It took on the name of Schuco in 1921.
Those wind-up passenger cars, racers and other wheeled products are worth a fortune, by the way, now selling for thousands of dollars apiece — if you can find them.”
