Collectible Gift Cards

Here’s an area that we hadn’t thought about – the collecting of expired gift cards. Michele Alice reports that since they were introduced in 1995, and since people didn’t forsee their value as a collectible, some of the early cards are now extremely rare and can command bids of several hundred dollars at online auctions.

She also offers some good links for finding out more information about them.
