Aurora ’70s model hobby kits are making a comeback

The venerable series of Monster Scenes produced by Aurora back in the 70’s are being reproduced for old and new collectors alike:

“Times change. Everything old is new again. Whatever the applicable cliche, morbid monster and torture hobby models are making a comeback after more than 30 years of being off the shelves.

Moebius Models, owned by Frank Winspur and his mother, JoAnn, of Glenwood, is bringing back Monster Scenes and other vintage hobby model kits.”

Of the original models:
“Some of those models are hot collectibles today, bringing more than $3,000 for cream-of-the-crop Aurora kits that once sold for less than $5.”
