1919 Original Babe Ruth Sale Contract

eBay item 5135174066 (Ends Nov-09-04 09:08:35 PST)

“You are bidding on the most famous sports contract in history. This Babe Ruth contract was purchased at auction by R.I.philanthropist Alan Shawn Feinstein for $99,000 in 1993.

He gave away copies of it for charitable donations hoping to ‘reverse the curse’..Last copies given out this October benefited the House Of Hope, a shelter for the homeless, being named by Feinstein for a beloved Sister of Mercy who was an avid Red Sox fan. Right after that, the Red Sox won eight straight games including the World Series .

This contract comes with a 4 page feature story about the ‘Curse’, and a letter from TY Cobb showing why Ruth was the greatest baseball player of all times.

100% of the proceeds from this sale will go to charity to help the needy. For further information on the Feinstein Foundation,Inc., visit the site at www.feinsteinfoundation.org.”
