Jaycees seek memorabilia from early Greensboro golf tournaments

“GREENSBORO, N.C. — Got a ticket to the golf tournament?
No, not to the Chrysler Classic of Greensboro that will be played in October. The Greater Greensboro Open – and the older the ticket, the better.
As tee time nears for the annual tournament, its longtime sponsors, the Greensboro Jaycees, hope golfing fans will be moved to unearth their memorabilia of past classics and donate or loan the items for an exhibit at the Greensboro Historical Museum.
…Items from the first GGO and other early opens are particularly desirable, according to former Jaycee president Kevin von der Lippe.”
