Online auctioneer takes the fun out of antique-hunting, local dealers say

“TREASURE SEEKERS used to have to scour obscure antique shops before coming up with that rare find. But today, eBay has reduced the once-romanticized search into a few clicks of a mouse, and transformed the industry in the process.

Toli Fandrakowski, owner of Timeless Treasures in Ottawa, said eBay has been both good and bad for business.”
