“The first Plymouth Barracuda small, sporty coupe arrived in early 1964, or about the same time as the first Ford Mustang small, sporty coupe debuted. Both cars were immediate rivals, but the fact that they were introduced almost simultaneously was a coincidence.

…A 1968-69 Barracuda Formula S convertible with a 383 V-8 is valued at $34,000, says the Collectible Vehicle Value Guide. The “non-book” price for one in top shape, though, is much higher.”
