Sir John A. Macdonald letter expected to fetch record bids at auction

“TORONTO (CP) – A handwritten letter from Canada’s first prime minister is expected to fetch a record $60,000-$80,000 at auction next month, Heffel Fine Art Auction House said Friday.

The letter, written in 1867 by Sir John A. Macdonald, will be one of hundreds of lots on the auction block at Toronto’s Park Hyatt Hotel on Nov. 24.”
