“…The most notable sale thus far was a high-grade example of the Superman Secret Chamber Ring with Superman image on top that sold for $10,350. The ring is excellent condition and is one of the most rare premium rings from the Golden Age. The example is the tenth known with the last one turning up 10 years ago.

“Collectors out there really went to sleep on this one, and the result was an incredible bargain for the buyer. This was the first time this particular variety of ring has come on the market as a fresh find in the last decade, and the previous examples have sold for $25,000 – $60,000 depending on condition,” said John K. Snyder, Jr., President of Diamond International Galleries, parent firm of Hake’s Americana & Collectibles.”
