“I have a Baseball Register book 1957 edition, published by The Sporting News
Very good condition..
Can you tell me if it’s a collector’s item and it’s value.”

So we head back to our trustworthy barometer of what’s collectible – eBay, and do a quick search.

Currently there’s a seller offering 5 issues from the 1940’s:

1941 Baseball Register Chicago Cubs Chicago White Sox – current bid: $19.99
1942 Baseball Register Joe DiMaggio Lou Gehrig Yankees – current bid: $23.49
1943 Baseball Register Babe Ruth Shoeless Joe Jackson – current bid: $20.50
1944 Baseball Register Rube Waddell Lou Gehrig – current bid: $20.50
1945 Baseball Register Bill Southworth 1944 Cardinals – current bid: $9.99

All of these auctions end tomorrow, so we’ll post an update on the final results.
