Tom Brady 2000 Bowman Chrome Rookie Card #236

Tom Brady 2000 Bowman Chrome Rookie Card #236

Dec 2, 2025 | Collectible Cards, Sports Cards, Sports Collectibles

Over the past year, Tom Brady’s 2000 Bowman Chrome rookie card has seen a significant jump in value.

We were recently alerted about this card in a news story posted by Horacio Ruiz on the Sports Illustrated website (si.com). To quote: “Tom Brady has a few iconic rookie cards: the 2000 Playoff Contenders Rookie Ticket Autograph, 2000 Essential Credentials, and 2000 SP Authentic. Another, the 2000 Bowman Chrome, has seen prices rise sharply over the past year. Over the past year, the PSA 10 Bowman Chrome card (pop. 1,228) has increased in value by 63%. It was selling for about $6,600 about a year ago and is now selling for $10,8000.”

Apparently, the 2000 Bowman Chrome Tom Brady Rookie Card (#236) is an iconic and highly desirable card in the football card market, largely due to its chromium finish and status as one of only two Topps-produced Brady rookies. The market for this card is extremely strong, with a significant recent surge in value across all high grades. The value is almost entirely dependent on the PSA (Professional Sports Authenticator) or BGS (Beckett Grading Services) grade due to the card’s age and the difficulty in achieving perfect centering and clean chrome surfaces.

We decided to do a dive on eBay sales and found these recent sales:
