From eBay’s Hot Categories report for March 2005, a slice of what was selling well on the online auction up to that point. What is the Hot Categories report?

The new and improved Hot Categories Report (a.k.a. The Hot List) is updated monthly and lists level 4 (L4) categories where demand is growing faster than supply and where bid-to-item ratios are relatively high.

In Collectibles, their “super hot” category includes:
– In Historical Memorabilia, Jaycees material
– In Trading Cards: Mars Attacks cards, Wacky Packages cards, and Twilight Zone Cards
– In Decorative Collectibles: Lucy & Me and My Blushing Bunnies from Enesco; Take a Seat from Willitts
– In Disneyana: vintage (pre 1968) watches and timepieces
– In Housewares and Kitchenware: timers (hmmm, that’s an interesting one – ed.)
– In Casino Memorabilia: Hotel Room Keys
– In Advertising: Mountain Dew and Cracker Jack
