Elaine Krieg Smith has released her top ten list of children’s books for December of 2006 on her Bookseller Blog:
Top Ten Children’s Books Sold on eBay – December 2006
Holding the number one spot was a copy of Mark Twain’s Huckleberry Finn, which went for $3,100. In second place was a first edition of the Wonderful Wizard of Oz that sold for $2,872, and a first edition of the Hardy Boys “The Mystery of Cabin Island” with dust jacket took third place with a final price of $2,650.
Ms. Smith also tracks some of the sales of Eragon, Charlotte’s Web, and some early works of Beatrix Potter – all of which have received more attention lately because of their movie releases.
