“Jim Deal, 44, can trace his desire to collect bicycles back to one model among the 93 displayed in his Fircrest home: the Lemon Peeler.
“…Most everyone can relate to bikes,” he said. “It’s the first big material thing you want as a kid.”
Deal said his bikes are worth anywhere between $150 and $2,500 each.
The most valuable in the collection – and his favorite – is the 1973 Orange Krate. The Sting-Ray model is highly collectible because its shade of paint – “Sunset Orange” – is deeper in color than the other years the Orange Krate was produced.”
