“Baubles, trinkets, doodads, call them whatever you want. Glass insulators weren’t intended to become collector’s items, but they are.

The National Insulator Association (NIA) held its 37th annual convention this weekend at a hotel in Northeast Austin. While hundreds came to add to their collections, thousands don’t even know what an insulator is.

…with the demand of collectors, some sell for $25,000. Most however, are under $1.”
