Scary scarcities cast a spell on collectors

“Old Halloween items in mint shape are rare finds.

…Halloween decorations have been a fixture in American homes for more than seven decades. But in recent years, they’ve become one of the hottest trends as collectibles.

Whether they are new items, such as ceramic candy containers and ghost earrings, or vintage pieces, such as papier-mache pumpkins and homemade costumes from the 1950s, Halloween goodies are the black cat’s meow, according to many antiques and collectibles experts.”
