WATERLOO — Halloween lives at Annie Hein’s house.
Although the yellow bungalow’s exterior reveals little about the seasonal haunting, her living room is a Fright Night delight. An eerie orange glow emanates from pumpkin and black cat lanterns glowering from the fireplace mantel and other vantage points, illuminating a spooky but fun collection of Halloween collectibles.
…She paid $100 for the green-roofed mansion — “the most I’ve ever paid for a Halloween item” — which can bring $600 on eBay. The Department 56 black-roofed mansion can fetch $2,000.”
