Firm seeks out rare documents for individuals, businesses, museums

George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, John Adams, Frederick Douglass, Susan B. Anthony and Horace Greeley are just a few of the hundreds of authors of historical documents that Kaller has handled, bought and sold.

Kaller is an agent – a go-between – for a client seeking to own a piece of history. And history can be expensive; $1.5 million for a rare printed copy of The Emancipation Proclamation, which called for the abolishment of slavery and set the stage for the 13th Amendment.”

“Two rare documents related to the Texas Revolution will be sold at auction at Sotheby’s later this year, after state officials said they could not prove that the documents had been stolen from the state archives.”
