“Major League Baseball stopped selling Washington Nationals memorabilia this week because of the stadium dispute, but gear with the team’s logo popped up on eBay: hats, pennants, bumper stickers, license plates, pocket schedules, long-sleeve shirts, short-sleeve shirts, sweatshirts, and one Christmas tree ornament.
An inaugural season pennant opened Wednesday night at $9.99. Twenty-four hours later it was at $45, with a few hours to go.
“As you all know by now MLB has stopped selling Washington Nationals merchandise and is looking into moving the team,” one seller noted in offering a Nationals hat.”
