“How about starting your morning with a bowl of Sanitas or Elijah’s Manna? Neither seems appealing as a breakfast cereal, however, their descendants, Kellogg’s Corn Flakes and Post Toasties might hit the spot.
Though not the first dry cereals, these originals would be very collectible to those who covet breakfast cereal boxes.
…Reportedly, the group interested in this collectible is not huge, however with the advent of the Internet it has gained more attention. Crossover collectors can be found in this venue. One who is a collector of sports memorabilia might want to have some examples of the “Breakfast of Champions” in their collection. A collector of toys and games given as premiums in boxed food might be another.”
