Corgi collectables auctioned off

Nearly 600 items rare and collectable items from toy firm Corgi, including limited editions and pre-production prototypes, were offered to collectors at the auction hosted by Bonhams in Knowle.
A spokesman from Corgi remarked that some of the items had actually been in storage for 50 years.
Some of the items included:
– James Bond Aston Martin prototype from the 2006 film Casino Royale sold for US $1,388
– Briefcase of nine classic Bond vehicle scale models with logo and 007 certificate for US $1,838
– Cheetah cars came from the 2005 series of Captain Scarlet and sold for US $490
– Beatle figures, along with a yellow submarine for US $265
